The Equilibrium Project offers a comprehensive strategy and a functional mechanism to restore economic and ecological equilibrium. The Equilibrium solution provides a self-sustaining financial model which supports an art and entertainment culture documentation and content distribution network, a sustainable infrastructure development system, environmental restoration projects, and an experiential education system.

We believe the EQ model is an innovative and attainable way to begin an immediate mass transition out of our current unsustainable economic structure and into a new global culture of sustainability.

THE EQUILIBRIUM MODEL IS A COMPLETE SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS IMPLEMENTATION SYSTEM.

In order to fully comprehend the significance of the EQ Model and the potential of The Equilibrium Project, it is important to understand the functionality of the unique strategic partnership between the three main components:

(1) Equilibrium Media
(2) Eco Allies
(3) The Equilibrium Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit, dedicated to economic and ecological sustainability.

The first component is Equilibrium Media, an interactive convergent media network. EQ Media is producing the EQ project and has orchestrated the development of the virtual interactive hub where all aspects of the project come together.

The EQ website features:
• EQ.TV • Digital media production, content distribution, original programming
• EQ CONNECT • Social Networking to support the community dedicated to ecological and economic sustainability
• EQ BAZAAR • E-Commerce including digital media and sustainable lifestyle products
• EQ INSTITUTE • Sustainability experiential education projects, grant and in kind donation programs, project partners, the EQ Sustainable Development Fund

The second component is our project partners, we call them, ECO-ALLIES;
These are representatives of the global community committed to implementing ecological sustainability solutions, including:
• Ecologically oriented businesses and organizations, their patrons and members • Environmentally aware artists, entertainers and their fans
• Eco-architects and sustainable design specialists, with their brilliant intellects and invaluable expertise.
• Proactive cultural innovators, trendsetters and groundbreakers of the movement • Everyday artistically inspired and ecologically proactive individuals

We have designed the EQ infrastructure to expedite the exchange of ecologically oriented products, services, info and ideas in a manner that would promote and enrich our project partners and at the same time generate money to support the vitally important work of the Equilibrium Institute.

The third component is THE EQUILIBRIUM INSTITUTE (EQ.I), an experiential educational non-profit dedicated to providing mentor guided apprenticeship programs in the multi-disciplinary studies of the arts and sciences of sustainability. EQ.I acquires misused land, hires and provides comprehensive technical and logistical support for teams of ecological architects, sustainable systems design specialists and their student apprentices who will oversee restoration and redevelopment of the land. The work of the Institute serves the sustainability model by obtaining the resources from local green providers strengthening the regional economic infrastructure.
The innovative method we will use to complete our economic and ecologically sustainable development objectives, is to produce content documenting the entire process of the EQ.I for the world to see, learn from and be entertained by back on EQ.TV. The Equilibrium Institute in partnership with EQ.TV will produce, document and broadcast a continuous series of these epic eco-extreme makeover projects, live to the world. The broadcast of this original content on EQ.TV will generate revenue that can feed back into the Institute. Supporting EQ as a complete system, where ENTERTAINMENT = FUEL for a rapid transition to sustainability.
The EQ Institute is our dream school, the vehicle through which we will design and build the world we wish to give to our children.

The Eco-Makeover Concept: The world watches, reality TV style, as EQ.I’s team of expert mentors guide their talented young apprentices through the process of designing and constructing a modern masterpiece of form and function. The team's task is to transform a toxic and dilapidated site into a state of the art model of eco-architecture, energy efficiency, technological wizardry and awe inspiring aesthetic beauty.

EQ.I’s curriculum will be structured around the design and construction process. Active participation in every step of the process, from concept to completion, will give a new generation of multi-disciplinary sustainable systems design specialists the real world experience they will need to lead the next phase of the transition. And they will be acquiring these skills by actually dismantling the old world toxic infrastructure and directly building the crucial support systems for the emerging global culture of sustainability.

In this way the education projects can serve multiple purposes simultaneously.
The EQ.I makeover projects become an ideal new product showcase and testing ground for our commercial Eco Allies' tools, technologies, materials and services.
The project will generate a constant stream of entertaining and educational content. And EQ.I’s graduating apprentice teams will have the Institutes board of expert mentors, plus EQ.TV and our network of Eco Allies to provide a sustained source of financial resources, organizational support structure, and guidance that they’ll need to establish new projects in other locations.

THE MASTERS CALL TO ACTION

Buckminster Fuller challenged us with a bold vision:
"To make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone."

And William McDonough clarifies this challenge:
“I believe we can accomplish great and profitable things within a new conceptual framework - one that values our legacy, honors diversity, and feeds ecosystems and societies…. It is time for designs that are creative, abundant, prosperous, and intelligent from the start.”

Inspired by Bucky's challenge, the founders set forth to design a comprehensive sustainable solutions implementation system incorporating William McDonough’s philosophy.

In order to complete this system we felt it would have to fulfill three critical design requirements:

1) PROFITABILITY: Our intention was to develop a business model that would perpetually generate substantial revenue.

2) EMPOWERMENT of our best and brightest: Our intention was to use the money generated by our profitable business model to hire humanity's most brilliant ecological architects and sustainable systems specialists, and provide them with the tools and resources they need to develop and implement strategies for:
• Dismantling toxic, inefficiently designed and unsustainable infrastructure
• Restoring devastated ecosystems and replenishing bio-diversity,
• Developing new sustainable infrastructure systems
• Strengthening and promoting the emerging global green economy
• Educating and training a new generation of sustainable systems specialists
• Establishing centers to support regional sustainable infrastructure development

3) COMMUNITY: Our desire was to create a structure through which the proactive environmental community could effectively coordinate mass collaboration in order to overcome many of the fundamental causes of our escalating environmental issues.

The EQ interactive virtual hub infrastructure connects the three major components of the EQ Project and completely satisfies these three critical design requirements.

The EQ Interactive Hub provides:

• A functional process for guiding people who are new to the concept of ecological sustainability, through a series of simple steps which will give them a solid fundamental understanding of what it means to live a sustainable lifestyle.
• An accessible, user-friendly self-organizing structure through which people will have direct access to all the tools and information needed to guide and support them through the process of making a transition to a sustainable lifestyle.
• A support system for those already trying to live a sustainable lifestyle that will give direct access to leading experts who can assist them, their business and organization in their efforts to attain the next level of ecological integrity.
• An infrastructure that will centralize access to, and expedite the exchange of, products, services, info and ideas of sustainability to strengthen and promote the emerging green economy and advance the initiative to activate a critical mass of people to become active participants in the sustainable solutions movement.
• A perfectly balanced blend of profit incentive and philanthropic functionality to attract leaders from all aspects of the global sustainable solutions movement to act in concert for mutual and universal benefit.
• A substantial immediate financial benefit to all Eco Allies and project partners.
• An ideal place for Eco Allies to cross-pollinate projects and network communities.

Partnering with EQ is an effective and expedient way for independent groups to actively collaborate for mutual benefit and at the same time support a business that is spearheading the effort to effectively confront and correct the core issue at the very heart of the environmental crisis.

Now that the EQ infrastructure has been constructed we are 100% focused on building the community. We have compiled a list of our “dream team” Eco Allies to whom we will extend an invitation to collaborate for intentional cultural transformation.

There are already so many amazing projects and fully established autonomous communities presently active within the global artistic culture and sustainable solutions movement. Many of these groups have a substantial number of members, customers and fans. Utilizing the EQ infrastructure, these communities will be able to cross-pollinate projects and piggyback communities for each others benefit.

We encourage them to use EQ in much the same manner and for the same reasons businesses would rent space in a mall. In a mall type setting the probability of individual success is enhanced by the mass appeal of the collective. This setting promotes group marketing and resource sharing for mutual benefit.

Within EQ’s meta eco-social networking hub an ecological restoration group benefits from an artists fan base and a fair trade business can benefit from members of an organic agriculture collective, and on and on. EQ will do everything in our power to help Eco Allies achieve success because insuring their success is the best hope we have of making the shift to the global culture of sustainability.

The founder’s original inspiration…

• Dismantle and redesign inefficient infrastructure,
• Support the emerging global green economy
• Train the next generation of ecological super hero’s
All simply by chatting with friends, shopping and Watching TV!”

This thought gave birth EQ Media. From that day forward we dedicated ourselves to the task of acquiring the tools and assembling the team to create EQ Media and launch the EQ Project.

3 years later…

We did it! The EQ project infrastructure has been developed.

Now the ecological community has a vehicle to perpetually transform our daily purchases and entertainment into fuel for a rapid transition to sustainability

EQ Media is now inviting Eco Allies from around the globe to become proud supporters of the EQ Project.

Then, on behalf of all of our partners, EQ Media will contribute 33% of the profit from our cut of every; pay-per-view concert, audio or video downloaded, TV show watched, product purchased, every click trough to an affiliate and every contract that EQ Media is hired to produce, will be contributed directly into the EQ Sustainable Development Fund to fuel the work of The Equilibrium Institute.

THE 8 PHASES OF THE EQUILIBRIUM PROJECT:

1 • EQ’s digitized vision goes viral, with the help of our Eco Allies who have the mojo that will get people's attention and inspire the proactive green community to tune in and interact, in mass.
2 • 33% of all EQ.TV profits are donated to EQ Sustainable Development Fund to support the work of the EQ Institute.
3 • The Equilibrium Institute uses the fund to acquire misused land and assemble the expert design team for the first project.
4 • The design team selects student apprentices to mentor for the duration of the first project.
5 • The EQ.I. team develops and finalizes the architectural blueprint, budget and the official strategy for the restoration and redevelopment of the first site.
6 • Finally, all essential elements involved in producing the first project are complete and the teams move onto the site and the physical and educational transformation begins.
7 • Restoration and Development is complete and the EQ model is perfected.
8 • EQ media documents and distributes every step of the entire process.

It all starts with one relatively small and manageable makeover project and once the model is perfected, it will be duplicated over and over again. In this way the project can grow exponentially.

The beauty of the EQ model is that the source of the funds that will fuel this vitally important work is: social networking, conscious shopping, enjoying great music, and watching TV!
